Image tools that respect your privacy
Appzo Tools makes everyday image tasks effortless — convert, resize, compress, crop, and rotate — entirely inside your browser, without sending your files to a server.
Appzo Tools is a set of free image tools that run in your browser. Convert between JPG, PNG, and WEBP; compress, resize, crop, and rotate; read and edit image metadata; and look up domain WHOIS records. No sign-up, no watermark, no paywall, and — for every tool but one — no upload.
We built it because image editing on the web shouldn’t mean uploading your private photos to someone else’s servers, waiting in queues, or fighting watermarks and paywalls.
Who builds it
MD Naimul Hassan builds and maintains Appzo Tools — the tools, the site, and the writing on it. Every guide in the blog carries a byline that links back to a real profile, rather than being filed under a house name.
That matters more than it sounds like it should. Plenty of tool sites publish advice with no author attached to it, which leaves a reader no way to judge whether the person writing has ever actually shipped the thing they are describing.
How the tools actually work
5 of the 6 image tools run entirely in your browser. When you drop a file in, the page reads it from your device with the File API, draws it to a canvas, and re-encodes it with the browser’s own JPG, PNG, and WEBP encoders. No network request carries the file, because none is made.
You do not have to take our word for that. Open your browser’s developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and process an image. A client-side tool shows no request carrying your file. That check works on any image tool, including the ones that claim privacy and do not deliver it.
The one exception, stated plainly
The metadata editor cannot work this way. Reading and writing the full EXIF, IPTC, and XMP standards reliably means running ExifTool, a native program with no browser equivalent. That tool sends your image over HTTPS to our server, processes it in a private temporary location, and deletes it when your session ends. It is never stored permanently and never shared.
It would be easier to write “nothing is ever uploaded” across the whole site. It would also be false. Every tool page carries a badge saying which of the two applies, before you upload rather than after, and the privacy policy has a section devoted to the exception.
What we don’t do
- No account. There is nothing to sign up for, so there is no password to leak and no profile to sell.
- No watermarks, ever, on any output from any tool.
- No paywalled features. The tools are not a trial of a paid product.
- No storing your images. The browser tools never transmit a file at all; the metadata editor holds one temporarily and deletes it after the session.
- No selling data. There is no data business here to run.
We do use Google Analytics to count page views, which is a normal third-party script and is disclosed in the privacy policy. It measures traffic, not the contents of your files — the browser tools have no file contents to send anywhere in the first place.
How we write about this
File-size figures published here come from encoding real files and measuring the results. The benchmark on the converter and compressor pages names the source image, the encoders, and their versions, so you can re-run it and get the same numbers.
Where a claim comes from someone else’s research — Google’s WEBP corpus study, the PNG specification, browser support tables — we link it rather than restating it as our own finding. Every tool page and guide ends with the sources it drew on.
We would rather be accurate than absolute. Where a tool has a limit, the page says so: the converter cannot read HEIC, because browsers cannot decode it on a canvas, and no amount of wanting it to changes that.
